Dr. William “Bill ” Hunter
Dr. William “Bill” Hunter III received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University. He worked as an engineer at Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma for several years before making a career change to oral and maxillofacial surgery. He received a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee in Memphis and his specialty training was done at the University of Tennessee Hospital in Knoxville. He has practiced in Columbia and served southern middle Tennessee since 1977 as well as having served as a medical missionary on multiple mission trips to Brazil.
Dr. Bill is a board certified Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, 6th District Dental Society, Implant Study Club, Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Tennessee Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Bill is dedicated to providing outstanding dental care and continues his education by taking courses on the latest advances in dentistry and oral surgery.
His non-professional interests include flying, fishing, hunting, gardening, and water skiing.
